Baggage Policy

Information about your baggage, excess and transport conditions.

Free of charge

Each passenger shall be entitled to carry up to 30 kg of baggage free of charge, corresponding to the actual or volumetric weight measured at the time of dispatch.

Excess Baggage

Where the baggage exceeds 30 kg or exceeds the permissible dimensions, an excess rate per kilogram shall be applied in the table attached to the terminals.

Group Tickets

Passengers who purchase tickets together for the same journey can carry luggage between 20 kg and 40 kg by issuing a single receipt with the total number of passengers.

Mandatory declaration

At the time of dispatch, the passenger shall declare the content, quantity, weight and value of the baggage. The absence of a declaration exempts the carrier from liability in the event of loss.

Value Objects

Objects with a commercial value exceeding 20,000 MT, fragile, perishable, electronic items, documents, money, jewelry and special medicines should not be dispatched as common baggage.

Prohibitions

The transport of luggage in the bus corridor and dangerous cargoes (weapons, explosives, toxic or flammable substances) is expressly prohibited.

Where can I buy CityLink tickets?

You can shop online on our website, on terminals or through our authorized agents.

Yeah. If you do not embark, you are entitled to reimbursement of the total amount, provided that you comply with the conditions laid down. If you give up until 24 hours before the trip, there's a refund. If you give up later, a fee applies.

Yeah. If you cancel until 24 hours earlier, you can reschedule at no cost. Between 12 and 24 hours before departure, you can also reschedule by presenting the original ticket.

The ticket is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. After that period it loses its validity.

Yes, all our buses are modern, with air conditioning, reclining seats and enough space for a quiet trip.

  6. In cases of death, hospitalization of the passenger or serious illness duly confirmed, the full amount paid for the ticket may be refunded, with the granting of reimbursement subject to prior analysis and validation by the company upon submission of the appropriate documentation.
  7. The carrier shall make reasonable efforts to inform passengers in the event of a fact that significantly alters the time, itinerary or foreseeable duration of the journey.
  8. In the event of a technical failure preventing the normal movement of the bus by forcing its immediate immobilization, the carrier shall make reasonable efforts to restore the service and may send a technical team to the place for repair or take other appropriate measures to ensure the continuity of the journey of the passengers.
  9. Passengers shall comply with the instructions of the crew and refrain from behaviour that disturbs the order or safety during the occurrence of the bus failure.
  10. The carrier may use video surveillance systems and capture images on its premises and on board its vehicles for safety purposes, fraud prevention,
    protection of persons and goods, operational management and proof of occurrence.
  11. The carrier may carry out occasional image and video recordings on its premises and on board its vehicles, intended exclusively for institutional, promotional or corporate communication purposes, without prejudice to the passenger’s right of opposition, which shall be respected whenever the image or video allows its identification.
  12. The boarding of a passenger who is in a state of drunkenness, under the apparent effect of psychotropic substances, with aggressive, violent, disturbing, unhealthy or posing a risk to health, safety, order, crew, other passengers or operation shall be prohibited.
  13. It is expressly prohibited to smoke, consume alcoholic beverages, transport or consume illicit substances, carry dangerous weapons or objects within buses or in the areas controlled by the carrier, without prejudice to communication to the competent authorities where applicable.
  14. The passenger must keep with him his valuables, documents, money, mobile phone, essential medicines and other goods of immediate use, and must not be taken as luggage.
  15. The passenger is solely responsible for obtaining, possession and validity of the documents, authorizations, declarations and other requirements legally required for the completion of the journey and for the transport of the goods that I am able to follow, as well as for the completion of the migratory, customs, sanitary and other requirements of the competent authorities, not responding to the carrier for retentions, seizures, refusals of entry, fines, delays or other damage resulting therefrom.
  1. Children up to 5 (five) years old may be transported free of charge, provided they travel on an adult's lap, and only 1 (one) child is allowed for each accompanying adult.
  2. The transport of unaccompanied children under 12 years of age is prohibited.
  3. Minor passengers aged between 12 and 18 must bear a travel permit signed by their parents or guardians.
  4. For reasons of operational safety, protection of the health of pregnant and unborn passengers, and considering the limitations of medical care during the journey, the transport of pregnant passengers shall be subject to the following conditions: 4.4.1 Until the 28th week of gestation, the passenger may embark without a medical certificate, and a statement on gestational age may be requested;
    4.4.2. From the 28th week and until the 34th week of pregnancy, boarding will depend on the presentation of a medical certificate, confirming the gestational age, the probable date of delivery, the
    the absence of relevant complications and the passenger’s ability to complete the journey;
    4.4.3. Above 34 weeks of gestation, the carrier reserves the right not to authorize boarding in order to safeguard the safety of the passenger and the unborn child.
  5. Elderly persons, pregnant women, disabled persons, persons with conditioned mobility or special needs will be accommodated in the nearest places of entry and should be assisted with priority by crew members on the bus;
  6. Passengers with conditioned physical health and those who are transported with medical devices will only be transported if they carry a medical certificate confirming that they are in health condition to be transported without harm to their health, so they should contact the carrier at least 7 days in advance to inform themselves about the availability of space and their special needs.
  1. The passenger reserves the right to request the cancellation of the reservation and to obtain reimbursement of the payment of the ticket, provided that he does so within 12 hours of the day before the departure, with the right to reimbursement, as well as to postpone the reservation with the same advance, without fine and with the right to reschedule the journey within the next 30 days;
  2. Requests for cancellation which are submitted between 12 noon and 17:00 on the day before departure do not confer the right to reimbursement, but will confer on the passenger the right to reschedule another trip within 30 days, on payment of an additional 50% ticket value.
  1. All passengers shall have the right to carry a luggage free of charge up to a maximum of 30 kg for the volumetric or actual weight measured in the act of dispatch.
  2. Passengers who purchase tickets together for the same route by issuing a payment receipt with the express indication of their total number may carry luggage weighing more than 20 kg and less than 40 kg.
  3. The passenger shall, in the act of dispatch, declare the content, quantity, weight and commercial or estimated value of the luggage volume.
  4. Excess baggage is allowed on board in case of space availability and upon payment of the respective fee in the affixed table at terminals.
  5. Commercial goods exceeding 20,000 MT, fragile, perishable, electronic items, documents, money, jewelry and special medicines should not be dispatched as common luggage.
  6. Baggage transport in the carrier's bus corridor is expressly prohibited.
  7. The transport of dangerous cargo is strictly prohibited.
  8. The carrier shall deliver the abandoned baggage to the authorities responsible for the sale in public auction if the baggage is not claimed within 90 days.
  1. The carrier is not liable for fraud resulting from the use of unofficial channels, information provided by third parties, purchase of tickets outside authorised means or payments made for mobile portfolios not indicated by the carrier.
  2. The carrier shall have the right to return against the passenger who, by false declaration, omission of information, irregular document, undeclared migratory situation, transport of prohibited goods or other attributable conduct, causes the carrier to impose sanctions, losses, damages, administrative costs or complaints from third parties.
  3. the carrier is not liable for failure to board due to the passenger's delay or the fact that it has positioned itself in a place other than that contained in the ticket;
  4. The carrier is not responsible for changing the expected duration of the journey resulting from force majeure and fortuitous.

  10. The liability of the carrier, in the event of loss, loss or deterioration of baggage, shall be limited to the commercial value declared in its Ticket.
  11. The carrier shall be exempt from liability in the event of loss, deterioration, loss of goods the commercial value of which has not been declared before dispatch, or which have not been conferred in the act of dispatch on grounds attributable to the consignor or passenger.
  12. In the event of loss, loss, theft, damage or deterioration of baggage proven to be attributable to the carrier, any compensation due to the passenger shall be determined on the basis of the circumstances of the case and the evidence provided and may under no circumstances exceed the maximum amount of 20,000 MT
  13. The carrier is not liable for damage or loss of baggage which occurs as a result attributable to the passenger, due to miscarriage of the thing carried and improper packing.
  14. The carrier shall not be liable for complaints concerning the absence, loss or damage of baggage which has not been conferred by the passenger at the time of receipt at the relevant place and in the presence of the official responsible for its delivery.
  1. The passenger shall submit his complaint in writing within 72 hours of the date of the occurrence in order to allow a timely verification of the facts and other elements necessary for the verification and processing of the complaint by the carrier.
  2. The carrier shall review and respond to complaints submitted within 15 days of the date of submission to its terminals.
  3. Claims that have been proven false, fraudulent, or that have been examined with adulterated documents may be rejected and communicated to the competent authorities, without prejudice to the carrier's right to compensation for the damage caused.
  1. The Parties shall, in addition to these terms and conditions, be bound by other relevant legislation governing road transport.
  2. Conflicts arising from the application or interpretation of these terms and conditions will be settled by the Maputo City Judicial Court when it occurs throughout the South Zone and by the Beira City Judicial Court when it occurs in the central and northern zone of the country.
  3. The parties agree that the costs inherent in the coercive recovery of debt arising from the default of these terms and conditions will be charged to the default party.
  4. The carrier reserves the prerogative to update these Terms and Conditions for legal, operational, tariff, technological or security adequacy, and must make available the current version on its official channels. The applicable version shall, as a rule, be that in force on the date of purchase of the ticket or hiring of the service.
  5. The passenger, consignor and consignee shall authorise the processing of personal data strictly necessary for the issue of tickets, transportation, security, billing, service, complaints, compliance with legal obligations, fraud prevention and communication with competent authorities, in accordance with applicable law.
  6. These Terms and Conditions, as well as their content, structure, wording, marks, distinctive signs, graphic elements and other associated materials, are the property of the carrier, and its copy, reproduction, distribution, publication or use, in whole or in part, by third parties, without prior and express authorization of the carrier.
